5 Fun Entertaining Ideas from Lacoste’s Desert Pool Party

LACOSTE Beautiful Desert Pool Party - Day 1

striped pillows 01 Punch Up the Contrast: What to do to tie together a mélange of bright towels and an army of signature green crocodiles? At the Lacoste Desert Pool Party, black and white striped pillows from the Lacoste Home SS14 collection were are great neutral for blending the rainbow of accents in the Lacoste color story, and they looked great thrown about on the lawn.
coconut drink 02 Go Coconuts: Mini coconuts with a drilled hole and single straw provided a hydrating break between margaritas. The festive presentation made for great photo opportunities, and guests were even running the tropical refreshers over to the bar for an added kick with a shot of rum.
watercolor sneakers 03 Have a Good Drinking Game: The DIY cabana manned by P.S. I Made This’ Erica Domesek kept guests like Chelsea Leyland and Gigi Hadid amused while they hand-designed custom watercolor sneakers. (Tip: the more spiked coconuts you consume in the process, the better the watercolor effect.)
cabanas 04 Add the Illusion of Exclusivity: A running theme of the now-legendary Lacoste Desert Pool Party, rows of fresh, white poolside cabanas created the perfect, exclusive hideaways for VIP party-goers hoping to beat the heat. Attendees like Steven Tyler mingled with Katy Perry, while Kendall Jenner showed off her giant nose ring in selfies staged on Lacoste Home SS14 collection beach towels.
floaties 05 Float On: Punch up the party’s theme with not one, but 10 or more kitschy pool floats. The more-is-more effect will have a high-impact in a pool of any size, and they’ll be much-welcomed by guests looking to sleep off the sun with their feet in the water.
