A Classic Revival in the Hudson Valley

Architectural Digest takes us inside a cozy Greek Revival residence a stones throw from the Hudson River.

After stumbling across photographs of a classic Greek Revival home just across from the Hudson River in upstate New York, architect Jim Joseph knew it was the ideal home for him and his partner, musical theater composer Scott Frankel. The couple eventually closed escrow on the four-bedroom home in 2004, and moved in the same day. Through renovations and decorations, they built a home that is classically tailored and serene, while also colorful and full of character. Indeed, they revived a classic.
