Home Tour: Josh Flagg's Own Million Dollar Listing

The real estate pro and Bravo star invites us into his eclectic, well-collected Sunset Strip home . . . before he tears it to shreds.

THE DOSSIER: NAME: Josh FlaggTRADE: Realtor and star of Bravo's Million Dollar Listing LA. VIBE: Collected eclectic. ABODE: Two-bedroom, two-bath Spanish-style home in the Sunset Strip, Los Angeles. Real estate pro Josh Flagg has only been living in his Sunset Strip Spanish-style home for six months, but it looks like he's been there for ages.

The well-collected aesthetic is no coincidence: Flagg is a veteran collector. "I've been collecting since I was 12 years old, so I've had stuff for many many years, and I'm constantly buying stuff," Flagg says. Auctions, he says, are the best places to buy furniture, décor, and art. Collecting art is a great hobby of Flagg's. It might be hard to choose a favorite from his vast collection, but Flagg narrows it down a bit: "I have a fantastic Calder, and I have a few really beautiful Andy Warhols and David Hockneys."

The combination of Flagg's unusual furniture -- a Pedro Friedeberg gold hand chair, a bulldog-shaped side table, burled wood Art Deco armchairs, and foo dog table lamps -- with his 20th century art is a look that he aptly describes as "eclectic." The miscellaneous mix makes it easy to move in and get settled quickly: it's all about the mismatch.

Despite the finished look of the space, the design process has actually yet to begin. Flagg says, "I'm going to redo the whole house and then sell it." The real estate expert plans to add square footage, bringing the 1,700-square-foot building up to 2,000 square feet, and then re-list the property. Surprisingly, the best attribute of the soon-to-be expanded space, he tells us, isn't by design: "The location is phenomenal; it's just a block north of Sunset, right in the heart of The Strip." As for his personal favorite, it's the garden. (Just don't expect to see this one in rubber clogs anytime soon: he admits he's definitely not a green thumb.)
