It’s no secret we love and appreciate midcentury décor, which is why our hearts are aflutter over these shots from Interior Design of the ultimate in midcentury style: the Mad Men sets. The images are like an individual time capsule of style and design, showcasing the hottest colors, furniture, materials, and fabrics of 1969, the setting for the show’s current and final season. Though some spaces are what may have been described as “standard” at the time, some of the sets, like Don and Megan’s apartment, are intentionally more glamorous. As show creator Matthew Weiner told the magazine, “Certainly, the Drapers got a decorator. [Their apartment is] right out of the pages of a magazine!” Tour the rest of the spaces below and read more from Weiner on the sets’ décor at Interior Design.
