Tour Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy's New Love Nest

The newly engaged couple has just splurged on a jaw-dropping townhouse — come take a look!

a Recently engaged, Mary-Kate Olsen and French-born banker Olivier Sarkozy are readily to settle down together and have just scooped up a historic five-bedroom townhouse in midtown east Manhattan neighborhood Turtle Bay for a cool $16.5 million. Featuring a portico, a loggia, a private garden (with a fountain after the Medici fountain in Rome), a hall of mirrors, a double-height grand ballroom, a rooftop exercise pool, a built-in garage, an artist's studio, and an elevator, the house is fit for royalty -- or at least Full House star/fashion icon and the younger half-brother of France's former president. The illustrious Turtle Bay Gardens enclave was developed in the early 20th century by American heiress Charlotte Martin, who, inspired by Europe's private gardens, created a 12-foot-wide shared garden promenade behind 20 back-to-back townhouses on 48th and 49 streets. In addition to herself, some of Turtle Bay's famed residents have included Katherine Hepburn, Bob Dylan, and Stephen Sondheim -- we're sure Olsen and Sarkozy will feel right at home.
