Continuing its mission of bringing original art from promising up-and-coming artists to aspiring collectors at an affordable pricee, The Tappan Collective is debuting its latest featured artist, Annelie Vandendael. The Belgian photographer has made her impression on the art scene before even reaching the age of 30, and is making her U.S. debut with this series entitled Sois Belle, meaning “be beautiful.” Her female-centric work is as fashionable as it is fascinating, often depicting scenes of summer, sun, and swimsuits. The obstructed view of her subject’s faces gives new life to the pose of their bodies and the angle of her camera. Her work is apt for any modern collector’s space, and is something to study for years to come, as we all will be. Each 20″ x 20″ photograph is printed in an edition of ten and available for sale for $800, custom frame included.
